The survey does not identify whether respondents have used NPS which specifically have stimulant properties, so the use of stimulant-type NPS are not estimated. The “Any stimulant drug” composite measure has therefore been removed since the year ending March 2017 publication. Questions on perceived ease of obtaining drugs and new psychoactive substances and nitrous oxide are asked to all respondents who completed the self-completion module on drug use, whether they had used a drug or not.
