Please note that Maths in the IB is not required if you have already achieved GCSE Maths at grade C/4 or above or 4 in IB Middle Years Maths. If you achieve at least 60 credits in a language via our Foreign Language Centre you may be able to have the words ‘with proficiency in’ and the language added to your degree title. All assessments during the year abroad are undertaken at the host university and count towards your final degree. When access to the campus is restricted they operate regular virtual meet-ups. You will build on Year 1, covering more advanced programming and data structures, together with the related mathematics and broader professional and societal issues. The School of Informatics does not accept applications for second year entry to our programmes. Our degree flexibility allows you to tailor your experience to your interests and be in control of your learning. We may accept your English language grade from the Dutch Voorbereidend Wetenschappelijk Onderwijs diploma if you achieved 8 in English.

Mixed Reality is a blend of physical and virtual environments, unlocking natural and intuitive 3D human, computer, and environment interactions. Learn concepts and techniques in the field of mixed reality and user-centred testing and implement mixed reality applications using technologies applicable to the problem domain.

One example of this is the Department of Physics, which has recently received a £3.5 million refurbishment of its research laboratories – used by undergraduate students to complete their final-year research projects. The University boasts state-of-the-art facilities in other areas too, with the Department of Chemistry providing students with the use of chromatography equipment, x-ray equipment, optical spectroscopies and more.
